PFK enters design phase for integrated energy platform
Avenir has begun design work on an integrated energy platform intended to support the future industrial redevelopment of the PFK site.
PFK is a long-established metallurgical enterprise in central Ukraine, with substantial industrial infrastructure and deep roots in the local community.
In 2026, PFK became part of Avenir Holding, beginning a new phase focused on responsible stewardship of the existing industrial site, future investment and long-term industrial development.
PFK has developed over decades as an important metallurgical site. Its existing industrial infrastructure, utilities, transport connections, buildings and technical capabilities provide a substantial foundation for future development.
Avenir Holding, as PFK’s new shareholder, is developing a long-term programme for the site that combines preservation and productive reuse of existing assets with the creation of new industrial and energy opportunities.

02A long history of metallurgical production and industrial activity, together with established workforce traditions and technical experience.
03A long-term programme centred on industrial renewal and preparation of the PFK Industrial & Energy Park.
Ukraine’s reconstruction will require resilient energy infrastructure, competitive industrial capacity and the productive reuse of existing industrial assets. PFK’s established infrastructure provides a platform from which industrial renewal, energy development and circular-economy projects can be developed progressively.
The proposed PFK Industrial & Energy Park represents the next stage in the development of the site. The concept is centred on the rehabilitation and productive reuse of existing industrial land, buildings and infrastructure; the development of modern energy capabilities; and the creation of conditions for new industrial enterprises and investment.
Development will proceed progressively and in accordance with the security situation, applicable Ukrainian legislation, technical requirements and the needs of the local community. PFK’s longer-term objective remains to preserve and develop the site’s industrial potential and establish a sustainable foundation for renewed industrial activity.
Future development will consider opportunities to recover value from existing industrial materials, improve resource efficiency and progressively rehabilitate areas of the site. PFK’s historical management systems and efficiency programmes provide experience on which future environmental development can build.
